2 Corinthians 3:1-6

v1We are starting to recommend ourselves to you again! Or do we, like some, need letters of recommendation to you or from you?

v2You yourselves are our letter of recommendation written on our hearts known and read by everyone.

v3Making it clear that you are a letter produced by Christ, prepared by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on tablets of human hearts;

v4 and we have such confidence through Christ toward God.

v5Not that we are qualified because of ourselves to consider anything as from ourselves but our competence is from God,

v6who also made us competent as ministers of a new covenant not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills but the Spirit produces life.
