v1Because of this, since we have this ministry in accordance with the mercy we have received, ⌜we are not giving up⌝.

v2On the contrary, we have turned our backs on the shameful things people hide, not living ⌜by tricks⌝, nor twisting God’s Word; rather, by public proclamation of the truth we ⌜commend⌝ ourselves to every person’s conscience as we live before God.
